New Year’s Eve 2024 Puerta del Sol is not just a celebration—it’s a global cultural and artistic event that ushers in the new year with an unforgettable spectacle.
This year, Novelty Spain, a leader in technical audiovisual production in Madrid, partnered with renowned French DJ and producer Michael Canitrot, creator of La Monumental Tour.
This innovative project has turned iconic landmarks like Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower into canvases of digital art and electronic music.
Together, they transformed the Real Casa de Correos, home to the regional government presidency, into a groundbreaking audiovisual stage that set a historic milestone for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Sponsored by Telefónica, the event also marked the company’s centennial and was coordinated closely with the Community of Madrid and the City Council.
Novelty Spain took on the comprehensive technical responsibility for the event, including façade lighting, sound systems, video mapping projectors, rigging, and electrical distribution. This showcased their leadership in large-scale audiovisual production in Madrid.

14 Ayrton Perseo S moving heads on façade totems highlighted the building’s architecture.
On the floor, 14 Color STRIKE M units projected vibrant, high-impact visual effects. -

6 Elation Proteus units framed the iconic Puerta del Sol clock. These lights provided a dramatic and ceremonial backdrop to the evening's climax.

The visual spectacle was the star of the evening. The facade of the building was transformed into a dynamic canvas thanks to a state-of-the-art video mapping.

The amplification was managed by several LARAK racks, carefully wired according to detailed technical specifications.
